Cre8 are a young and driven practice of Chartered Surveyors and Project Managers who provide a wide range of professional services from Project Delivery to Commercial and Residential Building Surveying. Based in Preston, we operate both locally in the Northwest and across the UK. The Role
 

A varied workload, from working closely alongside our key clients on prominent commercial and industrial developments across the North, to completing smaller appointments relating to bespoke capital improvement healthcare and education projects and core commercial and residential Building Surveying duties.

The role includes, but not limited to:

• Undertaking core building surveying duties comprising pre-acquisition building surveys (commercial and residential); schedules of dilapidations and schedules of condition; defect diagnosis, condition surveys and planned maintenance reports. 

• Undertaking bespoke refurbishment instructions acting as Lead Designer, preparing tender packages (comprising NBS preliminaries, material and workmanship clauses, schedule of works, form of tender and detailed drawings) and tender reports, and performing the post contract role of Contract Administrator, Project Manager and Principal Designer. Projects typically ranging from £50K to £1M.

• Undertaking industrial new build instructions acting as a project manager in the pre-construction phase and performing the post contract role of Employers Agent. Projects typically ranging from £1M to £30M.

What you will need – the benefits for us:

Ideally you will be MRICS qualified (or close to), and able to demonstrate a strong background in Building Surveying and Project Management. 

Experience in providing Employers Agent, Project Management and Contract Administration services within commercial, industrial, and healthcare sectors is desirable. 

Having great communication skills, attention to detail and excellent problem-solving abilities are a must. 

What you will receive – the benefits for you:

For the right individual and depending on experience, you will be offered a competitive salary up to £55,000, along with a company car allowance equal to 10% of your salary. 

You will also receive 25 days annual leave (plus one for your birthday), and a discretionary annual bonus and hybrid working options. Pension with Employer contribution and relevant professional fees paid.
